Rooted in Faith.

Committed to Love.

Changing the world one child at a time.

Our Mission

Abode for Children exists to serve orphaned and impoverished children in India — providing care, education, and faith formation in partnership with local Catholic communities.

Our mission is inspired by James 1:27: “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their affliction.”

Founder of Gospa Missions and Abode for Children, Tom Rutkoski’s deep conversion to the Catholic faith inspired him to serve the poor and orphaned.

“Loving and caring for a child you may never meet is loving your Father in Heaven.”

— Tom Rutkoski
