Help Us Keep Every Child on the Road to Learning
Help Need for Transportation
Every morning, our school buses travel through 29 villages, bringing 319 children to school — students who would otherwise have no way to get an education. Next year, as enrollment grows to nearly 500, we urgently need two new buses to ensure every child can continue learning.
One bus will serve the young women of our junior college, giving 140 girls safe, reliable transportation to their studies. The other will replace our worn-out elementary bus, which is no longer safe to drive.
Each bus costs $30,000, and together we need $60,000 to meet this critical need.
Your gift can open the door to education for children who might otherwise be left behind. Together, we can give them not just a ride to school — but a road to a brighter future.
Join us in keeping hope on the move.
Did you know that our journey began in 2007 with a pre-owned 60-seat bus that we acquired for $7,000? We had just opened St. Thomas Orphanage and Mary Rose Buds School. That first year, we had 15 orphans—all boys. We also enrolled 109 day students, many of whom relied on this bus to get to school each day. While this bus was an answer to our prayers during the early stages of the India project, we had to retire it two years later due to safety concerns. In its place, we introduced two brand-new 26-seat buses in 2009 and 2010. Over the next 15 years we went on to provide transportation to over a thousand needy children.
